We have noticed a few people on local north Iowa for sale groups selling amateur radio equipment.

Please note:
We do not want this to be taken negatively, but we want to make sure that you are aware both as a buyer and a seller!

Please remember that transmitting on these radios requires an amateur radio license.

We will be more than pleased to help you get this license so you can LEGALLY join the fun.
This is as easy as learning a multiple choice test that we can help you start studying for today!

Talking without a license could find you looking at jail time, and fines between $7,500.00 to $10,000.00 (for each violation),
Plus you’re equipment being confiscated.

We also recommend the sellers “cover their own butt” and note in the advertisement that you must be licensed to transmit on this radio.

You do not need to be licensed to own, listen to, or sell these radios. But you MUST be licensed to transmit with / talk on them.

Remember!
“Federal law prohibits radio broadcasts without a license issued by the FCC. Anyone found operating a radio station without FCC authorization can be subject to a variety of enforcement actions, including seizure of equipment, fines and other criminal penalties.”
