Next Meeting: March 12th at 6:30 PM
Join us at the Cerro Gordo County Emergency Management Center for our monthly meeting on March 12th at 6:30 PM. The club is still moving slowly, but we will be reviewing the bylaws again this month. Will we finally get them done? Who knows! A sample set from a similar club is attached for everyone to review—please take a look and bring your thoughts or suggestions. New members and visitors are always welcome!
Gun Show Table This Weekend
We have a table at the River City Rifle & Pistol Club Gun Show this weekend (March 7th and 8th). If you are available to help work a shift, please contact Justin (N0JBE) right away to set up a schedule. Got ideas to draw people to our table? Bring them to the March 12th meeting!

ARES Update: We Need More Members!
The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) is a national program of volunteer licensed hams who provide backup communications during disasters, severe weather, or when regular systems fail. We support local agencies like the Cerro Gordo County EMA and National Weather Service. Right now we really need more operators!
How to join:
Simply complete the free basic ARRL online courses (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800) and send proof of completion to Justin (N0JBE). No experience required—we’ll train you with nets and drills. Our ARES net is every Wednesday at 7:00 PM on 147.315 MHz (DCS 047). Feel free to check in and practice!
Solar Weather Outlook
February Recap: Solar activity was moderate, with sunspot numbers averaging around 110–120 and solar flux near 145–155 SFU. Occasional M-class flares helped keep 10m, 15m, and 20m bands lively. March Outlook: Sunspot numbers are forecast around 115 with solar flux in the 145–155 SFU range. Expect good daytime openings on the higher HF bands and generally stable conditions.
